The Ghanaian has denied reports that he had undergone medical with Inter Milan ahead of a three-year deal on Tuesday

Juventus defender Kwadwo Asamoah has vehemently denied reports that he has had a successful medical with rival Inter Milan ahead of a possible three-year deal worth £3.2 million per season.

However, the Ghanaian who joined Juve from Udinese in 2012 and has gone on to make 115 appearances says he hasn’t met any officials of Inter for his medical.

“I am still a Juventus player as a speak and have not undergone any medical with Inter Milan or any club with regards to a possible transfer,” Asamoah told Atinka FM.

“As I’m talking to you now I’m currently at home in Turin and not Milan as speculated so I don’t know where such false news are emanating from,” he added.

Asamoah further expressed his delight after winning the Serie A and admitted that Napoli gave them a run for their money.

“The Italian Serie A is very competitive league in Europe. In the just-concluded season, Napoli gave us a tough time but we had quality that helped us to win the title in the end,” he said.

AshesGyamera understands that Chelsea, West Ham United and Everton have expressed interest in the services of the former Liberty Professionals star aside Inter.

In spite of all the rumours about ‘Number 12, Gyan who previously played in the Ghana Premier League before leaving to Italy for greener pastures, insists he is yet to come across any corrupt practices in the game despite even becoming the captain of the national team.

According to AshesGyamera‘s sources, although some people have tried to push their way through to have a portion of the impending video edited so that they can be spared, all actions have ended fruitless including the use of top religious leaders.

“Amidus FC and Weezy FC went to the final but Amidus won 3-0 to annex the virgin cup. Latif salifu from Amidus also emerged the best player of the tournament. To be honest, he’s a future prospect.

“We however, call on other corporate organisations and individuals as well as NGOs to help us in their own little ways so we can expand the programs to many places and save the youth. We can save them through education and counseling and it is possible that some of the addicts can even become prominent figures in the nearby future,” he added.

The brains behind the initiative

There are other programs lined up to take place in other cities and towns in the Brong Ahafo region before the close of the year.

The kids also joined the campaign

According to AshesGyamera’s sources, Zylofon Media’s top hierarchy will be meeting in the coming weeks and it’s likely they will offer a hand as part of their social corporate responsibilities.

Kotoko terminate Mawuli Osei’s contract after only three months

The 28-year-old has been told to look elsewhere following series of uninspiring performance after joining the Porcupine Warriors

Asante Kotoko have terminated the contract of striker Mawuli Osei following a dismal start to his stay in Kumasi, AshesGyamera understands.

The 28-year-ol joined Kotoko in February from Israeli side Maccabi Sha’arayim FC in a two-year deal after impressing coach Paa Kwesi Fabin but has failed to live up to the fans’ expectations.

A section of the supporters recently threatened to invade the club’s training grounds to drag him out if he’s not released after Kotoko’s 3-1 defeat to newbies Karela United FC in the Ghana Premier League.

Osei has now joined Sadick Adams, Eric Donkor, Yakubu Mohammed, Edwin Tuffour Frimpong, Frank Sarfo Gyamfi and Seth Opare who saw their contracts mutually terminated last week.

According to a report filed by Light FM, youngster Alhaji Isahaku Mohammed is likely to sign a deal with Kotoko by the close of the day from Kendi FC in Winneba, as coach Fabin begins his rebuilding with several young players.

Kotoko have picked only 17 points after 12 games this season, throwing away a staggering 19 points in the process.

Sadick Adams linked with a move to Ashanti Gold after Kotoko exit

The former Porcupine Warriors poster boy may join their regional rivals ahead of the second round of the season

Former Asante Kotoko striker Sadick Adams has opened negotiations with Ashanti Gold, according to reports in the local media.

The 28-year-old terminated his contract mutually with the Kumasi giants on Friday after falling out with coach Paa Kwesi Fabin. Also, striker Yakubu Mohammed, Seth Opare, Eric Donkor, Frank Sarfo Gyamfi and Edwin Tuffour Fimpong also saw their time with Kotoko ending prematurely following abysmal performances.

According to AshesGyamera‘s sources, the former Atletico Madrid youth player was accused of mutiny against the coach after he was infamously left out of the squad that lost 1-0 to rivals Hearts of Oak a fortnight ago, despite fully recovering from injury layoff.

Although, Sadick finished last season as Kotoko’s topscorer in all competitions with 10 goals, including the hat-trick against Hearts the won Kotoko the FA Cup trophy in Tamale, he has been struggling with injuries and has made only two appearances so far this season.

However, according to our checks, he Ashanti Gold owner Dr. Kwaku Frimpong and coach C.K Akonnor have a long-time admirers of Sadick’s footballing style and would want to strengthen their attack with his experience in their bid clinch the league trophy for the second time in four seasons.

Sadick will become the second former Kotoko player to recently join the Miners after Richard Osei Agyemang, if negotiations go through as planned.

Ashanti Gold top the log with 21 points after 11 games, four points above Kotoko.

Ayew brothers’ Swansea City relegated, set to play in Championship next season

The Ayew brothers could not help the Jack Army to survive the relegation scare and will have to play in the second-tier next season

By: Evans Gyamera-Antwi

Ghana internationals Andre Ayew and younger brother Jordan Ayew have suffered relegation from the Premier League after their club Swansea City couldn’t survive the drop following Huddersfield Town’s 1-1 stalemate at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea on Wednesday.

With Swansea surprisingly losing 1-0 at home to Southampton on Tuesday night, the Welsh side needed Chelsea and Arsenal to bail them out by beating Huddersfield in the latter’s two remaining games, while they also try to win against Stoke on final day to save their blushes.

However, despite Cesc Fabregas cancelling Laurent Depoitre’s opener for Huddersfield, Antonio Conte’s men couldn’t find the breach in the visitors’ defence for the match-winner. The stalemate means that Chelsea can’t qualify to play in next season’s Uefa Champions League for the first time in almost a decade, and Huddersfield have also been saved from relegation with a game to spare.

This is the second time Jordan Ayew in particular will be playing in the lower division, after his former club Aston Villa suffered relegation in a similar fashion two seasons ago after joining them from French side Lorient.

Swansea have joined Stoke City and West Bromwich Albion as the three clubs to depart the elite division while Wolverhampton Wanderers and Cardiff City have booked their automatic qualifications to replace them with the final slot reserved for four clubs to fight for it in the playoffs.

Karela United coach Smith slams PLB over ‘needless’ Ghana Premier League postponement

The debutants boss believes it was unnecessary for the top-flight to be suspended despite the pending outstanding games

Karela United FC coach John Smith has insisted that he disagrees with the Premier League Board following their decision to suspended Ghana Premier matchday 13 and 14 fixtures until all outstanding games are cleared.

Following Aduana’s participation in the Caf Confederation Cup, they have had six of their games postponed as a result and the top-flight’s highest decision body believes it will be prudent to clear all games before the first round ends.

”For me the league should have continued. When the league is in progress, the players get to improve everyday,” Smith told Nhyira FM.

”However, when there is a break, the players attitude change and their attitude towards training is always different. Everyone need a break but sometimes it is not the best.”

Aduana are expected to host Liberty Professionals on Thursday in the matchday one outstanding game before they welcome Raja Casablanca to the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park on May 16.

Ghana FA officials not afraid or running away from Anas, says Nyantakyi

The country’s football chief has refuted claims that members of the football association are sitting on timed bomb and some have travelled overseas amid reports of corruption exposure by Anas

Ghana Football Association president Kwesi Nyantakyi has rejected claims that a couple of people who are directly involved in day-to-day administration of the game have fled to overseas following reports that ace investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas has captured them in his latest work which will be made available to the world on June 6.

According to reports, high-ranking members of the association were caught on camera while engaging in corrupt practices and may never be able to recover from the damage the video will cause.

However, Nyantakyi thinks otherwise and insists he has travelled not because of a certain video but went on Caf duties.

“The only two people I know that are out of Ghana at the moment is my good self and General Secretary of GFA Isaac Addo,” Nyantakyi said.

“Both of us are on official CAF duties and we are both returning latest by Thursday. Running football is not a full-time job for the Ghana FA executive committee so if even someone travels to do his private business, how does that amount to running away?” he quizzed.

“For someone to suggest that we are [afraid of Anas or] running away is pure mischief,” he added.

In spite of this, a section of Ghanaians believe many people must be monitored in order to prevent them from leaving the shores of the country unless they prove beyond all reasonable doubt that what they are going to do outside Ghana is tangible.

Caf rescinds decision, PROVISIONALLY approves NAB Park for Aduana’s home games

The continent’s football governing body has approved the Agyemang Badu Park for the Caf Confederation Cup games on conditions

Aduana Stars have had their home grounds Nana Agyemang Badu I Park confirmed for their game against Morrocan side Raja Casablanca on Wednesday and May 16, after several considerations, AshesGyamera can confirm.

NAB Park was the only venue among the 16 to be used for the group stage that Caf had issues with as we reported a fortnight ago, since it lacked good stands to be used for live coverage, clinic to be used for emergencies, as well as free-flowing water for the toilets in the dressing rooms but they have been given some time to complete all before their second home game against A.S Vita Club since the stands for the coverage is fully intact now.

This comes as a huge boost to the Ghana champions who lost their maiden game in the group phase 1-0 to Asec Mimosas in Abidjan last week.

In the other group game, Asec will travel to Congo to lock horns with Vita, who shared the spoils goalless with Raja in their opening group game in Casablanca.

Aduana currently languish at the bottom of Group A with no point with Asec leading with three points.

Christian Atsu ruled out of action until July after successful surgery

The Ghanaian will be in the treatment room for at least six weeks after undergoing surgery

Newcastle United midfielder Christian Atsu has been ruled out of the club’s last three games in the Premier League following a successful surgery this week.

The 26-year-old suffered a knee problem a couple of weeks ago but played through pains until it became clear that the Magpies had avoided the drop, before he agreed to have his leg fixed.

However, according to AshesGyamera‘s sources, Atsu will only return in July after the World Cup and join his teammates for the next pre-season ahead of the 2018-19 campaign.

“Atsu has had an operation on his knee to be sure that he will be fine for the next year,” said Benitez.

“It wasn’t a big issue but he had some discomfort and we needed to fix the problem now to be sure that next year he is fine. Ciaran Clark has a little problem with his knee, but we think he will be fine for next week hopefully. The others are fine,” he added.

Atsu will therefore miss Newcastle’s trip to Vicarage Road to face Watford on Saturday as well as the games against Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea.

Again, he will not play a role in Ghana’s friendly against Iceland and Japan in June as the two opponents use the game to prepare for the World Cup holding in Russia.
