The Porcupine Warriors will take on the Arabian club in their second game of the pre-season tour to the Gulf region as they fine tune for the upcoming season
Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko have been scheduled to play Liwa FC in a pre-season friendly at the Shababal Ahli Stadium on Sunday.
The Porcupine Warriors arrived in the Gulf region last week and played their first game against Al Hilal United on Thursday. However, it ended in a disappointing 1-0 defeat as defender Christopher Nettey scored na own goal for Al Hilal who play in the third-tier of Dubai leagues.
Kotoko coach Prosper Ogum Narteh has promised an improved performance in the game against Liwa and insists although they lost their maiden game, there were a lot of positives that he picked from the defeat.
The game will be played 16h00 GMT, 8PM in Dubai and 4pm in Ghana.
It will be televised live on Ceek and AshesGyamera.com just like the game against Al Hilal.
Kotoko are expected to return to the country next weekend to wrap up their preparations for the start of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season. They will head to Dawu to face Dreams FC on opening day at the Theater of Dreams before they host Bechem United at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium a week later.
