The Porcupine Warriors arrived in the Northern regional capital early hours of Saturday ahead of their first game at the venue for almost five years
Asante Kotoko coach Prosper Ogum Narteh has named a 21-man squad for the Ghana Premier League matchday 25 fixture against Real Tamale United at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium on Sunday.
Due to accumulated cards, right-back Christopher Nettey and skipper Abdul Ganiyu Ismail (injury) will miss the game as Kotoko seek to build on the crucial win against their rivals Hearts of Oak last weekend.
Also, there will be no Evans Adomako and Solomon Sarfo Taylor as well as Isaac Oppong as the trio are still not fully fit for the game.
However, Kotoko are expected to parade a formidable side that can overrun RTU who are fighting relegation and will be having their captain David Abagna Sandan back in action after several months in the treatment room.
Kotoko arrived in Tamale with a heavy military escort due to security issues on the road especially between Kintampo and Tamale.
