The Porcupine Warriors were billed to play their third game of their pre-season tour to Dubai but it was cancelled at the eleventh hour
Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko were hoping to pick their first win in their pre-season tour to Dubai as they prepared to take on Atletico Arabia at the Shababal Ahli Stadium on Tuesday but the game was called off at the eleventh hour.
The Porcupine Warriors lost to Al Hilal United in the first game and shared the spoils 1-1 with Liwa FC on Sunday and head coach Prosper Ogum Narteh was hoping to pick his first win after replacing Mariano Baretto as the new head coach last month.
Kotoko are fine tuning to participate in the 2021 Ghana Premier League season as they aim at winning the title.
“Our friendly match today has been canceled due to technical reasons.
We play our last #Dubai2021 friendly match on Thursday,” a club statement read.
Kotoko are expected to play another friendly game on Thursday after today’s game was cancelled before they depart Dubai for Ghana next weekend.
The Porcupine Warriors will open their Premier League account with a trip to Dawu to face Dreams FC at the Theater of Dreams. They will play their second game at home against Bechem United.
