The Porcupine Warriors chief could be dragged to court after his former partner threatens legal actions against him over unpaid arrears
Football agent Percy Allotey has threatened to drag Asante Kotoko chief executive officer Nana Yaw Amponsah to the law court over unpaid commission of $15,000 from the sale of Nathaniel Asamoah to Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca.
The 30-year-old striker who is currently in the camp of Ashanti Gold joined Raja from Medeama in 2015 and according to Allotey, the club has paid all monies owed Medeama but Nana Yaw Amponsah is refusing to pay his part of the agency fee.
Allotey claims he brokered the deal together with Nana Yaw Amponsah and would go every length to get his part of the “bounty”.
“Our agency teamed up with Nana Yaw Amponsah in the transfer of Nathaniel Ohene Asamoah from Medeama SC to Raja Casablanca in the year 2015 and per the agreement, we have a difference of $15,000 to be paid to us by Medeama SC. After consulting Medeama SC, we learnt that they have given the money to Nana Yaw Amponsah,” Allotey told Fox FM.
“As we speak, we have tried calling Nana Yaw Amponsah on several occasions but he has declined our calls. We have handed the case to our lawyers. We have given Nana Yaw Amponsah five days ultimatum to pay us or face us in court.
” We have written a demand letter to Nana Yaw Amponsah and further copied Mr Kofi Badu (Chief of Staff Manhyia Palace), Prof Dr Kwame Kyei Baffour (Board Chairman of Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC), Mr Emmanuel Dasoberi (Administrative Manager Asante kotoko SC), and Mr Moses Armah Parker (Owner of Medeama SC),” he added.
Nana Yaw Amponsah replaced George Amoako as the CEO of Kotoko after losing the Ghana FA presidential elections and has had a promising with the club. He has helped brokered a lot of sponsorship and partnership deals including kit sponsorship from Errea, Instat, VEO, Adonko Energy Drink among others.
