The striker believes the Ghana Premier league is way below the standard he has experienced in Tanzania few months after arriving
Former Liberty Professionals striker Bernard Arthur has insisted that Ghana Premier League is no where near Tanzanian’s top-flight.
The 23-year-old joined Azam FC few months ago and says the branding, sponsorship and professionalism in Tanzania beat that of Ghana.
“The Tanzanian league is way ahead of the Ghana Premier League,” Arthur told Asempa FM.
“This ia because it’s a professional league, and it involves a lot to get a standard that can be referred to as professional league. It is well branded with a random TV coverage unlike in Ghana,” he added.
Aside Arthur who scored 11 goals last season to help Liberty beat the drop, Yakubu Mohammed, Nicholas Gyan, Enoch Atta Agyei, Daniel Amoah, Razak Abalora and others are Ghanaians plying their trade in Tanzania.
