Ghana defender Salisu Mohammed scored his debut goal in the UEFA Champions League as Monaco came from two goals down to share the spoils 2-2 with Dinamo Zagreb at the Stadion Maksimir on Wednesday night.
Salisu was yellow carded by 22nd minute after a poor defending. The host then took the lead through Petar Sučić late in additional time of the first half.
After the break, Martin Baturina made it 2-0 for Zegrab after connecting an assist from Rog and powered in a shot from outside the box to send the home fans on cloud nine.
However, Salisu led the comeback with a wonderful goal after connecting a pass from Maghnes Akliouche by the 74th minute. Denis Zakaria pulled even for Monaco by the 90th minute from the penalty spot to silence the home fans who were hoping to hold on to the lead.
Salisu had 86 touches of the ball and completed 85 per cent of passes after making 61 out of 72 passes. He won two out of four ground duels and three out of 11 aerial duels.
The centre-back lost possession on twelve occasions and committed one foul.
