King Faisal to sack Commey and appoint Serbian Slavisa Bozicic as new coach

Following King Faisal’s two defeats from two games in Ghana Premier League, can reveal that Serbian coach Slavisa Bozicic has arrived in the country this week and could be unveiled by the club if negotiations end successfully.

The Kumasi-based club suffered a 4-1 thrashing against Dreams FC in Dawu on opening day and also lost the Ashanti derby 1-0 against Ashanti Gold on Sunday leaving them without a point.

Although, club president Alhaji Karim Grunsah wanted either former coach Steve Pollack or Zdravko Lugarusic to replace underfire manager Anthony Commey, none of them is ready to return to Ghana.

Bozicic is expected to be in the dugout on Sunday when Faisal travel to Dormaa Ahenkro to play in-form Aduana Stars in matchday three.

Although, Commey’s future is unknown, our sources have revealed that a section of the club’s top hierarchy are lobbying for him to be demoted to assistant coach role in order to help the Serbian rather then showing him the exit.

Bozicic will play his first home game against Bechem United on January 14 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
