The Porcupine Warriors former coach finally penned an emotional farewell message to the club after tendering in his resignation
Former Asante Kotoko coach Prosper Ogum Narteh has sent a ‘teary’ farewell message to the club after officially resigning from his position in Monday.
The gaffer, who spent only eight months at Baba Yara Sports Stadium, led Kotoko to lift Ghana Premier League title last season. However, he surprisingly opted to leave the club despite the opportunity to lead them ahead of this season’s Caf Champions League.
Reports were rife that Ogum had clashed with Kotoko’s chief executive officer Nana Yaw Amponsah due to disagreement on player recruitment and the direction of the club ahead of the new season.
As a result, Ogum decided to leave the stage in order to avoid any further disagreement and he has insisted that his departure will be a omen for the club
Kotoko have signed five new players ahead of the new season after goalkeeper Frederick Asare from Accra Lions, Moise Pouaty, Ugandan striker Steven Mukwala, midfielder Osei Poku and defender Thomas Pele from Cameroon.
