The young striker added another assist to his name as Spezia brushed aside fellow Serie A newcomers

Ghanaian striker Emanuel Gyasi showed an improved performance when Spezia Calcio defeated Benevento 3-0 away in Serie A on Saturday.

The 26-year-old returned to the starting XI after being dropped to the bench last weekend against Juventus and he repaid his coach’s faith and trust with a fine performance.

After chances had become premium early in the game, Tommaso Pobega opened the scoring by the 29th minute before Gyasi set up Mbala N’Zola for the second goal after the break.

N’Zola added another goal by the 70th minute as Spezia went on to record their second away win of the season.

Gyasi, who played the full throttle in the game, has featured in all of the seven games Spezia have played in Serie A this season and has lasted 521 minutes.

He also boasts of two assists but yet to break his duck.
