The Royals have parted ways with their Serbian tactician after failing to win any of their opening two games

Ghana Premier League side Legon Cities FC have mutually terminated their contract with Serbian head coach Goran Barjaktarevic after a ‘horrible’ start to the 2020/21 season, AshesGyamera.com understands.

The 51-year-old has become the first coach to be shown the exit door after he failed to pick a win in two of the clubs first two games despite the huge signings made.

The former champions shared the spoils 1-1 with Berekum Chelsea in their first game at home before surprising 3-0 against city rivals Great Olympics in the Accra derby on Friday.

Although, there have not been in any official release by the club so far, our sources have revealed that Goran has been paid all entitlements he deserves based on the clause in the contract he had with the club and could depart the shores of the country latest by Wednesday.

The 51-year-old has had his contract abrogated by the management of Legon Cities after their shocking 3-0 loss to Great Olympics in the match-week two of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season

“The coach has disappointed everyone at the club deserves the sack,” a source told AshesGyamera.com.

“The assistant coach will take up the mantle on the interim before the club finally name Goran’s replacement. I don’t think the new coach will be a new face or someone who is not known in the league because the club wants to grind results as soon as possible to match the investments made,” the source added.

Legon who will play Medeama in their next game at home have signed former Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan, Mathew Cudjoe Anim, Baba Mahama, Raphael Ocloo, Nicholas Gyan and Aduana Stars former midfielder Elvis Opoku before the season began. However, Asamoah Gyan is yet to make his debut for the club since he lacks match fitness.
