The midfielder played his first game for the Porcupine Warriors at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium following his return to the club believes they are runaway winners
Asante Kotoko midfielder Justice Blay has insisted that they have won the Ghana Premier League title despite 18 more games to play.
The midfielder was handed a starting role by Prosper Ogum Narteh following the absence of Mudasiru Salifu and he had a wonderful game on his return to Baba Yara Sports Stadium as Kotoko debutants Accra Lions 3-1 thanks to a hat-trick by Cameroonian striker Etuoga Mbella Frank Thierry.
Although, Kotoko have opened a six-point gap between them and Bechem United and have one outstanding game against arch rivals Hearts of Oak, Blay believes they are champions elect since none of the remaining clubs can compete them.
I will tell the fans to come to the park [Baba Yara Sports Stadium] to support us so that we can continue to win games in order to win the league title,” Blay said at post match conference as quoted by AshesGyamera.com.
“Asante Kotoko have already won Ghana Premier League ahead of other clubs,” says Justice Blay

“We are even champions already because if you check the numbers of matches ahead of us the supporters inputs will complement our efforts to lift the trophy.
“So I will plead with the supporters who have been away for sometime to return to the stadium during home games and rally behind us so we can achieve our target of winning the league,” he added.
Blay also admitted his happiness after playing his first home game for Kotoko and heaped praise on the technical team.
“The feeling was good especially to play my first game at home for Kotoko after joining the club. However, I will thank the coach and technical team for helping me to adapt to the system being used here. I’m very grateful but I hope that as time goes on, I will be able to perfectly fit into the system,” he added.
