The Porcupine Warriors manager has been named as the coach of the month of January following his side’s wonderful performance in Ghana Premier League

Asante Kotoko coach Prosper Ogum Narteh has been adjudged Ghana Premier League Coach of the Month of January following his side’s incredible performance in the period under review.

Nartey shrugged off competitions from Karela United coach Bismark Kobby Mensah whose side had three wins and two draws from five matches as well as Kassim Mingle of Bechem United who led the Hunters to pick two wins and three draws from five matches.

Also, Medeama boss, Umar Abdul Rabi was among the shortlisted coaches as his side won three and lost one of their six matches last month.

Ogum had an incredible run as Kotoko won four games and had one draw from five games in January. They defeated Aduana Stars at Dormaa Ahenkro for the first time before adding regional rivals Ashanti Gold Medeama and Great Olympics to their casualties as they seized the top spot of the log.

Kotoko currently lead the Premier League table with 40 points, nine points better than Great Olympics who sit second on the log.

Ogum will start the month of March with a difficult fixture as Kotoko travel to Fosu Gyeabour Park in Bechem to lock horns with Bechem United next week Tuesday.
