The Porcupine Warriors shot-stopper was definitely going to start against Sudan but he was asked to return home at the eleventh hour
Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Razak Abalora has been dropped from the Black Stars travelling team together with three others due to health issues.
Abarola and midfielder Joseph Attamah Larweh were dropped after they tested positive of the COVID-19 disease at the airport.
As a result, coach C.K Akonnor quickly called Legon Cities goalkeeper Fatau Dauda to replace Abalora since he was left with only one goalkeeper since first-choice goalkeeper Richard Ofori has also been suspended after accumulation of yellow cards.
Also, captain Andre Ayew who scored a brace in the first leg against Sudan did not travel with the team as he is couldn’t recover from a knee injury that picked last week.
Meanwhile, Majeed Ashimeru, Wakaso Mubarak and Jeffrey Schlupp arrived in camp on time after missing the first leg.
Akonnor will have to appoint a new captain for the game since both Andre Ayew (captain), Thomas Teye Partey (first deputy captain) and Richard Ofori second deputy captain) are all out of the game.
