The Miners seem not looking back after an incredible start this season after surviving relegation just six months ago, while Wonders continued their unbeaten run in their maiden campaign in the new format

A rejuvenated Ashanti Gold side continued their impressive start to the season with a home victory over newcomers Karela United FC thanks to defender Richard Osei Agyemang. The results mean that the Miners are the only side to have made it three wins out of three.

However, in Tarkwa, it was all about Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Felix Annan. The young shot-stopper almost became the reason why Paa Kwesi Fabin’s side nearly picked their second away point this season until Medeama got the solitary goal very late in the game through former Kotoko striker Kwame Boateng from the penalty spot.

This is the second defeat in a row to Kotoko at the same venue under two different coaches – Fabin and Zdravko Lugarosic.

At the Red Bulls Arena in Sogakope, goals from Musah Nuhu and youngster Aminu Mohammed handed title holders Aduana Stars their first defeat of the season. Aminu’s strike means that he has become the only player to score in all the games he has featured so far in the top-flight with two of his goals coming from free-kicks.

At the Nana Ameyaw Park in Techiman, debutants Eleven Wonders picked their first victory of the campaign and maintained their unbeaten record, after posting a 3-1 defeat to regional rivals Bechem United.

A brace from Abdul Wahab and another effort from Kwaku Adu were enough to send the Techiman municipality into an ecstatic moment despite a late consolation from Maxwell Frimpong for the visitors while Zuberu
