Le Blues left it late to shock Spain in the final of the Uefa Nations League and succeed Portugal as new champions on Sunday

France became the new champions of the Uefa Nations League after defeating Spain 2-1 in the Milan on Sunday.

After both sides failed to break the deadlock in the first half as chances became premium, the game became lit after the break.

Oyarzabal gave Spain the lead by the 66th minute but that didn’t last longer than expected. Benzema quickly equalised for France with a right-foot beauty into the top right corner .

PSG forward Mbappe then sent France in front for the first time in the game with calm finish.

Although, Mbappe was initially offside when Hernandez played the pass to him but Garcia’s touched hence, according to the officials, played him on since it means the game was starting ‘a new phase of play’.

They add this trophy to the World Cup title they won three years ago and have become the first nation to win the two trophies.

Spain have painfully lost two final this year since they lost in the final of the Olympic Games and now Nations League.
