The midfielder is over the moon following his impressive display on his official debut for the Porcupine Warriors
Asante Kotoko midfielder Richmond Lamptey has expressed his delight following his incredible performance on his Ghana Premier League debut for the club against Dreams FC on Saturday.
The Porcupine Warriors came from behind to score three late goals within six minutes to win 3-1 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Lamptey’s long range volley sealed the win for Kotoko after goals from Mudasiru Salifu and Isaac Oppong had given them the lead in the game.
Lamptey, who joined Kotoko from relegated Inter Allies, was handed a starting place by Prosper Narteh Ogum and he didn’t disappoint in his maiden appearance.
“Dreams do come true🙏🏽 Words cannot describe how I feel, getting my first goal on my debut for @AsanteKotoko_SC and an equally Great team performance from the boys,” Lamptey posted on Twitter.
“We fought till the end. Newton Emmanuel, thanks for the advice. It worked perfectly,” he added.
Kotoko, after this famous win, will host Bechem United next weekend at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in their first home fixture of the season and Lamptey would hope to have an incredible performance as he plays in front of the supporters for the first time.
The Porcupine Warriors’ next away game will be against debutants Bibiani Gold Stars at the Dun’s Park in Bibiani in two weeks time.
