The Serbian’s arrival has seen the Black Stars making giant stride in the latest ranking of countries for the month of October

Ghana have moved four places up on the latest World Fifa ranking for the month of October thanks to the arrival of Serbian coach Milovan Rajevac.

The Black Stars picked up two wins in a row after defeating Zimbabwe in a double-header in the 2022 Fifa World Cup qualifiers last week.

Milovan guided Ghana to pick up a 3-1 win at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium before they completed a double over the Warriors with a 1-0 away win in Harare thanks to Thomas Partey’s free-kick.

The victories have aided Ghana to accumulate more points and now moved a place better as compared to the previous rankings released in September.

However, despite the upward movement of Ghana on the World rankings, the Black Stars still remain at the seventh position on African rankings behind behind Senegal(20th in the world), Tunisia(25th in the world), Morocco(30th in the world), Algeria(33rd in the world), Nigeria (34th in the world) and Egypt (38th in the world)- by other of 1st-6th.

Ghana would hoe to further make another move in November as they are billed to face Ethiopia in the penultimate World Cup qualifying game on a neutral ground in Kenya before they host South Africa in the last round of matches at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.

The Black Stars sit second in Group G of the qualifiers with nine points, one point behind leaders South Africa and the last game will obviously determine who will top the group eventually.
