The two journalists have opted to trade blows through words after Ghana’s shambolic performance at 2021 Africa Cup of Nations

Veteran journalist Dan Kwaku Yeboah and journalist cum Ghana Football Association’s media team member Sheikh Tophic Seinu has started what many term as media war following exchanges after the Black Stars’ poor run of form at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

According to Yeboah, the Black Stars were poor and any journalist who will defend the terrible performance and further relate it to the sacking of Kwesi Nyantakyi has probably lost his ‘chop money’.

“A lot of people are making comparison and saying a lot of things. Journalists who lost their chop money, I repeat, those who lost their chop money are those criticising the Normalisation Committee,” Yeboah told Asempa FM/Adom TV.

“There was no need to replace C.K Akonnor with Milovan Rajevac. It is certain that Kurt did not like Akonnor leading Ghana and did everything possible to sack him. The end results is all that we see today,” he added.

However, Tophic believes Yeboah is being a hypocrite since he is only trying to pitch Ghana FA president Kurt Okraku and former Ghana coach C.K Akonnor.

“Ghana’s campaign at the AFCON has been super poor and a huge disappointment. But charlie, let’s not take advantage to lie.

C.K Akonnor is who is today in coaching because of Kurt Okraku.

He took him to Eleven Wise where he started his coaching career. Do you recall his partnership with Odartey Lamptey on the bench? Kurt started that with CK. Even when CK, as head coach, led Wise to relegation, Kurt stood by him.

He gave CK his first biggest coaching job when he helped him secure the Hearts of Oak coaching job. Even when he was sacked, he still kept faith with CK and took him to Dreams FC.

He made Dreams FC a home for CK where he could move out and return anytime he wanted.

CK became the Black Stars coach under Kurt, even at a point many felt he was not up for the job.

And u jump up to say Kurt hated CK that’s why he was sacked from the Black Stars?

If this is hatred, then somebody tell Kurt I want him to hate me.

Charlie, the Black Stars were poor at the AFCON but don’t take advantage to start your usual agenda again.

You did it against Kwesi Nyantakyi and during the Normalization Committee era, every rational Ghanaian knew the stuff you are made of. You lost it all because u clearly showed you hated KN because you wanted him out so you could also take over. Alas, we saw it.

I recall when u once told me u fell out with me because I supported someone (KN) u were campaigning against. An honest and objective person wouldn’t do this if indeed u are fighting the course of the country and not your personal interest.

U have started again, against Kurt simply because Black Stars failed. You can do all your propaganda against the man, but charlie, try to be honest.

If everybody will aim a dig at Kurt, you should be the last person to do that.

Your role during the NC era is a testimony.

Shut up Dan Kwaku Yeboah. Shut up!
