JS Kabylie head to Ghana to face Gold Stars in Champions League

The Algerian side is expected in Ghana in the coming hours ahead of the CAF Champions League first leg in Accra

JS Kabylie, opponents of Ghana Premier League champions Bibiani Gold Stars in the CAF Champions League, have left Algeria enroute to Ghana ahead of the first leg fixture.

The match which has been scheduled on Sunday, September 21 at the Accra Sports Stadium will be open freely for supporters in selected areas in a bid to attract fans to the watch the game.

The winner after the two legs will meet either East End Lions of Sierra Leone or Tunisia’s US Monastir in the second preliminary round of the competition.

FIFA referee Georges Gatogato from Burundi will be the centre referee on the day and he will be assisted by countrymen Emery Niyongabo (Assistant Referee I), Olivier Nibogora (Assistant Referee II) and Bertrand Manirakiza as the fourth official.

Also, Nigerian Alhaji Babagana Kalli Kalli will be the Match Commissioner for the game.

Gold Stars are in fine form after winning 2-1 in their opening game of the Ghana Premier League over Bechem United, adding to Ghalca Top Four trophy in the pre-season.
