The striker made an appearance in Palace’s away defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers away from the Selhurst Park
Ghana striker Jordan Ayew returned to action after recovering from Coronavirus disease when Crystal Palace suffered a 2-0 away defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League on Friday.
The 29-year-old was tested positive of the virus a fortnight ago when returned from international break with Ghana as he featured in the 3-0 defeat to Mali and the 5-1 mauling of Qatar in Antalya, Turkey.
As a result, Ayew was isolated and missed Palace’s 1-1 draw against Brighton and Hove Albion at home as well as the 2-1 away victory over Fulham at Craven Cottage last weekend.
He came on the 72nd minute for Andros Townsend but couldn’t do anything to cancel Ati Nouri and Podence’s first half goals for Wolves who have now moved up to third on the log.
Ayew, who is yet to score ago this season after seven games, has been named by C.K Akonnor as part of the Ghana squad that will face Sudan in the double header of 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
