The midfielder who was spotted at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday is expected to be unveiled by the Porcupine Warriors in the coming days
Justice Blay has insisted that he has unfinished business with Asante Kotoko few days after his contract with Medeama expired.
The 29-year-old has been heavily linked with a return to Kotoko and was even spotted at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium when the Porcupine Warriors hammered regional rivals Ashanti Gold 3-1 in the Ashanti derby.
“My next destination is Asante Kotoko because I have unfinished business in the team due to the love shown me by the supporters,” Blay told Focus TV.
“I decided not to extend my contract at Medeama and even told all my colleague players that I am leaving that is why there was a guard of honour from my colleagues.
“In football, you have to get a new challenge to make you improve as a player that’s why I am moving on.
“My happiest moment at Kotoko is when I see a lot of supporters at the stadium and cheering the players on. That thing makes me play above myself,” he added.
Blay helped Kotoko to reach the group stage of the Caf Confederation Cup during his first stint with the club and he is expected to be unveiled in the coming days after reportedly signing a two-year deal.
He is expected to boss Kotoko’s midfield with Mudasiru Salifu, Richmond Lamptey and Richard Boadu ‘Agadas’.
