Ghanaian player dragged to court after BEATING referee during Ghana Premier League match

The defender will appear in an Accra court on Monday after he was accused of allegedly beating a referee after a league game

Techiman Eleven Wonders defender Amin Adams was arrested on Saturday after his club suffered a defeat against Accra Lions in Ghana Premier League matchday six.

Adams, together with Eleven Wonders Team Manager Ernest Amo, allegedly charged on the assistant referee Jasper Adenyo and physically assaulted him in the process.

The duo who were arrested and kept in police cells on Saturday and Sunday by the security officers at the venue led by Superintendent Freeman Kumashie from the Greater Accra Police Command are expected to appear in court to face explain why they should not be punished by the judge.


Ghana Football Association is yet to release an official statement in the incident.
