The highly rated football administrator has had another role in one of the biggest clubs in the European country few months after leaving Asante Kotoko
Former Asante Kotoko CEO Nana Yaw Amponsah has joined Moldovan Super Liga side FC Petrocub as the new president after officially signing a partnership deal. He replaces Mikhail Usatîi.
Last week, former Kotoko goalkeeper Razak Abalora moved from Sheriff Tiraspol to Petrocub in a deal believed to have been orchestrated by Nana Yaw Amponsah.
Formed in 1994, Petrocub are nicknamed The White-Blacks or The Hincesti Lions and play their home games at Municipal Stadium in Hincesti.
Last season, they were second in an eight-club league and their player Marius Iosipoi became the third highest goalscorer behind Nigerian Rasheed Akanbi and Alexander Dedov who were joint top-scorers.
Petrocub are currently sitting second in the Moldovan league with 28 points, six points behind Sheriff.
