The Porcupine Warriors boss has opted to change one-third of his side squad that played in mid-week as they prepare for the Kumasi derby this afternoon

Asante Kotoko coach Prosper Ogum Narteh has made five changes in his squad to face King Faisal in the Kumasi derby of Ghana Premier League at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday, your number source of credible news AshesGyamera.com can confirm.

Following the red card to captain Abdul Ganiu Ismail in the 1-1 stalemate against Karela United, Kotoko have opted to change the face of their central defence.

Mubarak Yussif has been drafted in to fill the void left behind by Ganiu while Maxwell Agyemang has been dropped. As a result, Sherrif Mohammed and Yussif are expected to make up the central defence pair since the latter has a lot of pace and good reading of the ball. Christopher Nettey and Imoro Ibrahim have been maintained as the two full backs.

Also, goalkeeper Kwame Baah has been dropped to the bench after his terrible mistake added to Ganiu’s red card and allowed Karela to snatch a point.

Coach Prosper Ogum Narteh and goalkeeping coach Najau were not impressed with the shot-stopper’s performance and have decided to bring back Danlad Ibrahim who missed their last two games.

Moreover, AshesGyamera can confirm that midfielder Richmond Lamptey will not start the game as Justice Blay has been given the nod to partner with Richard Boadu ‘Agadas’ to provide more cover to Kotoko’s defence.

Meanwhile, Samuel Boateng’s place has been given to Cameroonian striker George Mfegue Rodrigues and he will partner his countryman Etouga Mbella in search of goals. Mudasiru Salifu will be the captain for the day.

On the part of King Faisal, goalkeeper Frank Boateng will start Adams Abdul Jabal but there will be no Osman Ibrahim since he is cap tied.

Mawuli Wayo will also miss the game due to some reasons but Kwadwo Frimpong has returned to the matchday squad and will be on the bench.

Nimble-footed Baba Yahaya who scored the winning goal against Kotoko in the FA Cup will start once again while Zubairu Ibrahim lead the attack with Joseph Gordon pulling strings in midfield.
