The much-awaited Division One League kicked off over the weekend across the country with interesting results coming afterwards

Ghana Division One League kicked off this weekend across the country as clubs began their search for qualification to play in Premier League next season.

In Zone 1, Bofoakwa Tano pipped Baffour Soccer Academy 1-0 at Coronation Park in Sunyani thanks to Junior Alipio’s volley.

In Zone Two, Asamoah Boateng’s brace and another goal from Suraj Seidu helped Nations FC to beat Swedru All Blacks 3-1 at home in DOL Zone 2 on Sunday.

In Zone 3, Liberty Professionals shrugged off their disappointment of failing to qualify to Premier League last season as they picked a 2-1 away win over Golden Kicks.

Also, Vision FC pipped Mighty Jets 2-1 while Tema Youth were shocked by Na God FC in a 1-0 defeat.
