The Porcupine Warriors former star says he will help his new club to eliminate the Phobians from Caf Champions League
Industriel Kamsar’s new defender Amos Frimpong has insisted that they will eliminate Hearts of Oak from the Caf Champions League after they were drawn against the Ghanaian champions on Wednesday.
The 29-year-old joined the Guinean club a couple of weeks ago and will be in line to face his former rivals.
As a former player of Kotoko, Frimpong says he has been longing to punish Hearts again ever since he left Ghana.
The first leg has been scheduled for September 10-12 in Kamsar with the return to be played on September 17-19 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
“CI Kamsar playing Hearts in the Champions League is a dream match for me. I had always wanted to play against them (Hearts) again,” Frimpong told Oyerepa FM.
“My teammates have been asking me about Hearts of Oak and how good they are ahead of the game. I am sure we will defeat them in the first leg and then qualify ahead of them in Ghana during the return fixture.
“Our club president has told us to do better than what Horoya FC is doing on the continent. Therefore, our main aim is that we want to win the CAF Champions League. I don’t see how Hearts of Oak will stop us even though I admit they are on form.
“They have won Ghana Premier League and FA Cup and are on good momentum but that isn’t enough to eliminate is from the competition because we have a good team also,” he added.
Hearts are making a return to the competition for the first since 2015 where they failed reach their target.
