The lower tier side’s boss has presented pairs of football boots to the Phobians which they can use on a soggy pitch ahead of their trip to North Africa

Cheetah FC president Abdul Haye Yartey has made a donation of eleven pairs of football boots to Ghana’s sole representative in Caf Champions League Hearts of Oak on Tuesday ahead of their trip to Morocco.

The Phobians recorded a sim 1-0 victory over Wydad Athletic Club at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday thanks to Isaac Mensah’s first half goal and would have to leave for the reverse fixture next weekend.

Although, the game will be played at the Mohammed V Sports Stadium in Casablanca, Yartey presented the boots which have hard stud and can be used for any weather conditions in order to help the Phobians to be ready for any unforeseen circumstances.

According to reports in the local media, Caf has ordered that Wydad Athletic Club should play the game behind closed doors due to COVID-19 scare.

Although, the first leg was held at the Accra Sports Stadium with 2,000 spectators allowed to watch it, Caf believes the city of Casablanca is not safe as COVID-19 cases have been on the rise recently.

AshesGyamera’s sources have revealed that the Phobians will depart Ghana on Thursday and it is possible that they would travel with a chartered flight. Should arrangements for a chartered flight fail, Hearts are expected to travel with Air Moroc.

The Phobians are hoping to qualify to the group stage of the competition for the first time since 2006.
