The Black Stars are ready for a showdown this evening but none of the Hearts of Oak players called to camp will make an appearance

Ghana coach Charles Kwablah Akonnor has officially announced his starting XI to lock horns with Ethiopia in Group G opening game in 2022 Fifa World Cup qualifiers on Friday evening at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.

However, none of the three players from Hearts of Oak called to camp was named in the starting line up or among the substitutes. This mean that the trio of goalkeeper Richard Attah, defender Fatawu Mohammed and midfielder Afriyie Barnieh will play no part of the game.

It is only Asante Kotoko defender Abdul Ganiu Ismail who may get a chance to feature in the game after he was named among those to sit on the bench.

Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Richard Ofori will start in post while Andy Yiadom, Baba Abdul Rahman, Daniel Amartey and Alexander Djiku make up the defence.

Real Mallorca midfielder Baba Iddrisu will partner Wakaso Mubarak, Kamaldeen Sulemana and Jeffrey Schlupp in midfield while the Ayew brothers lead the attack in search of goals.
