The country’s football governing body has decided to postpone the game which was earlier scheduled to take place on Sunday

Ghana Football Association has postponed matchday two of Ghana Premier League game between Medeama and Bibiani Gold Stars, AshesGyamera.com understands.

The fixture which was initially billed to take place on Sunday, November 7 at the Akoon Park in Tarkwa has been rescheduled for Wednesday, November 10.

According to AshesGyamera’s sources, Medeama petitioned the Football Association that they can’t use the Cape Coast Sports Stadium as home ground after their home venue was rejected by the Club Licensing Committee.

Medeama insists that they have worked on all the recommendations made by the committee and they must inspect it once again for approval before they play their home game.

Although, Medeama claimed initially that the COVID-19 vaccines which their players took played a major role in their 4-0 defeat against Bechem United on Sunday, this rescheduling of the game against Gold Stars is far from that.

Gold Stars who are playing in their season of Ghana Premier League picked a famous 1-0 win over Berekum Chelsea on opening day at home thanks to Kingsford Boafo’s long range goal.

The fixture against Medeama will be their first away game played in the top-flight and a lot of supporters are expected to travel from Bibiani to Tarkwa to throw their support behind them.
