Baffour Soccer Academy coach Mohammed fighting for his life after accident

The former Bofoakwa Tano tactician is in critical condition following the accident on Monday evening

Baffour Soccer Academy head coach Ibrahim Mohammed is in critical condition and currently fighting for his life, AshesGyamera.com’s sources can confirm.

The experience gaffer, who joined the club barely two months ago, was part of the traveling contingent that suffered a serious car accident at Kyebi Junction, off the Accra-Kumasi road on Monday evening and was rushed to the Kyebi government hospital.

The club was travelling from Sunyani to Accra for their pre-season tour to fine tune for the upcoming season.

Although, a lot of players and officials of the club suffered various degrees of injuries, head coach Mohammed’s condition has been described as critical and needs extra medical care.

The former Bofoakwa Tano coach was trapped in the car for almost an hour and it took the intervention of the Fire Service before he was able to be moved out of the car after it collided with another bus.

Also, former Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Isaac Amoako, who is currently the goalkeeping coach of Baffour Soccer Academy, was part of the unfortunate accident suffered minor injuries.

According to AshesGyamera’s sources, Amoako picked up several cuts on his body but he is currently in good condition and was even spotted walking in the hospital’s lobby on Tuesday morning.

Also, the club’s communication director Kwaku Adjei Richard has suffered a closed or simple bone fracture and would need further attention to cure him.

Ibrahim Mohammed guided Baffour Soccer Academy to qualify to the Ghana Division One League earlier in October.

Baffour Soccer Academy were recently crowned Champions of Brong Ahafo Division Two League. The club is owned by Member of Parliament for the people of Sunyani West Constituency Hon. Ignatius Baffour Awuah. He also doubles as the Minister of Employment.

The club boasts of two pitches, one for training and one for matches, modern dressing rooms,  two storey buildings used as hostels, a swimming pool an entertainment room, a restaurant, and six-unit classroom block for teaching and learning.
