The youngster has been given a three-year deal by the Porcupine Warriors after he impressed the club’s technical team during his trial period
Asante Kotoko have officially announced the signing of midfielder Ernest Osei Poku in a three-year deal on Monday.
The youngster, who joined Kotoko a fortnight ago for trial, has now been drafted into the first team after impressing the club’s technical team.
Owusu was on target when Kotoko rallied from behind to defeat lower division side Panthers FC 4-2 in a pre-season friendly at the Legon Park on Monday.
“New in the city of Kumasi is Ernest Osei Poku. The midfielder joins us on a free transfer in a three-year deal having completed routine medical checks,” a club statement read.
Osei Poku has now become the fifth player signed by Kotoko ahead of the new season after goalkeeper Frederick Asare from Accra Lions, Moise Pouaty, Ugandan striker Steven Mukwala and defender Thomas Pele from Cameroon.
