The Black Dolphins boss has congratulated the Fire Club following their victory but believes a sweet revenge is underway
Vita Club coach Jean-Florent Ibenge believes Aduana Stars will be defeated when both sides meet in the Caf Confederation Cup Group A return leg in Kinshasa on July 29.
The Fire Club defeated the DR Congo champions 2-1 in Ghana on Wednesday thanks to goals from Bright Adjei and Yahaya Mohammed.
“It was not a bad game against Aduana but the results won’t help our course. Anyway, congratulations to Aduana,” Ibenge said, as quoted by AshesGyamera.com.
“We came into the game early and wanted to win but it was a little difficult. We’re going back to work hard and win the return leg.
“We need the three points badly in Kinshasa and we must work towards it right from today. I don’t think Aduana can survive there like they did at their home ground,” he added.
Ahead of the game, Vita Club were leaders of the group but have dropped two places with Raja Casablanca now the new leaders following an away win over Asec Mimosas of Cote D’Ivoire.
