The Hunters had the last laugh in the Bono and Ahafo derby as Aduana Stars fell to their second defeat at home
Aduana Stars were stunned 1-0 by in-form Bechem United in Ghana Premier League matchday fifteen fixture at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park in Dormaa Ahenkro on Saturday.
Ahead of the game, Aduana were coming from a defeat at the hands of Dreams FC last weekend and hoped to return to winning ways while Bechem were unbeaten in their last seven league games and nine games in all competitions.
After an impressive start to the game, Aduana saw themselves going behind at the run of play by the 16th minute. Winger Clinton Duodo was brought down on the edge of the penalty box and Samuel Osei Kuffour connected the resulting kick into the goal.
The budding center-back sent in a powerful volley which completely beat goalkeeper Joseph Addo.
Aduana pressed forward after the goal in search of the equaliser but Emmanuel Gyamfi and other forwards could not make the chances count.
The victory has seen Bechem United moving to second position with 26 points, seven points behind Asante Kotoko while Aduana have dropped to third position.
