The two Kumasi-based schools will square it off on Tuesday for a place in the final after edging past their opponents
Opoku Ware Senior High School has defeated Tweneboah Koduah SHS 3-0 to reach the last four of 2022 Inter-School soccer competition ongoing at the Len Clay Sports Stadium in Obuasi on Monday.
After failing to qualify from the qualification round last two years, OWASS has seen huge improvement in their game this time around under the tutelage of former Asante Kotoko assistant coach Prince Acheampong ‘Sabuto’.
The Santasi-based school brushed aside Tweneboah Koduah SHS who were highly rated by pundits and neutrals. OWASS poked their noses in front in the early embers of the game through a penalty.
Wilfred Addo doubled the advantage with a sublime finish before another goal was scored against the run of play to make the game a no contest.
OWASS will now face a stiffer opposition in city rivals Osei Kyeretwie SHS (OKESS) in the first semifinals of the competition. The game has been slated to take place on Tuesday morning at Len Clay Sports Stadium.
