The dancehall king has been remanded one week in police custody after he made an appearance in court on Thursday
Ghana’s award winning dancehall artist, Charles Nii Armah Mensah also known as as Shatta Wale has been remanded in police custody after he made an appearance in an Accra Circuit court on Thursday, AshesGyamera.com can confirm.
Aside Shatta Wale, two other complices Kojo Owusu Koranteng, otherwise known as Nana Dope and Eric Venator aka Gangee and Iddriss Yussif were also remanded after they pleaded not guilty to the charges levelled against them by the judge Emmanuel Essandoh.
Although, the counsel of Shatta Wale and his accomplices, Jerry Avenorgbo pleaded that they should be granted them bail but that was rejected by the court.
The case has been adjourned to Tuesday, October 26, 2021 and Shatta, together with his accomplices are expected to make an appearance at the court to continue proceedings.
Shatta Wale was arrested after a hoax report about his gun attack went viral some days ago.
The musician claims he made those claims due to a fake prophecy made by one prophet on live radio that he would be shot on October 18.
