The Serbian was elated with his players performance against the Warriors on Saturday but believes they can still do more

Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac is satisfied with the Black Stars’ performance in their 3-1 victory over Zimbabwe in the 2022 Fifa World Cup qualifiers at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on Saturday.

A goal each from Kudus Mohammed, Thomas Partey and Andre Ayew made sure that Milovan started his second spell in charge of the Black Stars on a winning note.

The win ensured that the Black Stars have closed in on South Africa and only trail them by just a point with two games remaining.

“Today, we showed our attacking force but sometimes it is not easy. You saw it partially in this World Cup qualifying match but in the end, everything was okay and we are satisfied with the effort and results,” Milovan said after the game.

The 65-year-old also rejected suggestions that he is a coach who rely on only one goal project to grind results.

“I said in a press conference that it was just some mantra from the journalists,” he said.

“But as you can see some others also say I’m also the type of defensive coach but if you look at the first eleven and how much we wanted to score we could have scored even three or more goals.

“And of course, we conceded one but we are always trying to do our best and to try to score more goals by the end,” he added.

Ghana will travel to Harare for the return fixture on Tuesday and a win is imminent in order to keep the chase with South Africa for the only slot available in the group.
