The midfielder put up a man of the match performance in the Ogya Boys’ victory in the pre-season friendly following his return from Kotoko
Aduana Stars continued their fine form in the pre-season as they pipped Division One League side Nsuatreman 3-2 at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park on Friday.
Sam Adams, who recently terminated his contract mutually with Asante Kotoko, scored the opener for Aduana few days after rejoining them as a free agent for the 2020-21 Ghana Premier League season.
The midfielder then turned to a provider and set up striker Yahaya Mohammed to double the lead midway in the game for Paa Kwesi Fabin’s side.
Although, Herman Quanoo and Addae Ebenezer scored two goals to cancel Aduana’s lead, Yahaya won the day for the hosts with a sublime finish. The bulky striker latched onto a pass by his teammate and sent his effort beyond the reach of Nsuatreman goalkeeper.
After the game, Sam Adams insisted that he is happy to have returned to Aduana and hopes to make an impact at the club this season.
“I’m very happy to be back. Dormaa Ahenkro is my home so let’s make history together once again,” Adams told the club’s website.
“I’m hoping to make an immediate impact in the new season with Aduana,” he added.
Aduana Stars will host Hearts of Oak on Premier League’s open day at NAB Park before they head to Nana Ameyaw Park in Techiman to lock horns with King Faisal on matchday two.
