The midfielder’s former national teammate says the Nerazzurri’s new signing has a lot under his sleeve to help the club

Former Ghana midfielder Laryea Kingston believes Inter Milan would get the best out of new acquisition Kwadwo Asamoah if coach Luciano Spalletti hands him a role in midfield instead of defense.

The 29-year-old completed a three-year move to Inter this week after six seasons with Juventus, who mainly used him as a left-back.

“He has had an important career with Juventus, the amount of trophies he won with them proves it, but I think we have not yet seen the best of Asamoah,” Kingston told KweseESPN .

“He gives the best of himself as a midfielder as he is able to create scoring opportunities, so even though he has often played as a full-back, his ideal position is more a central midfielder.

“I hope he is going to be able to play in this position at Inter because he can be more effective then,” he added.

Asamoah joined Udinese in 2008 from Ghana Premier League side Liberty Professionals before moving on to Juve, where he won 13 trophies, including six Serie A titles.
