The winger proved his mettle on his maiden appearance for L.A Galaxy as they shared the spoils in their first home game of the season
Ghana winger Joseph Paintsil was a a delight to watch when he marked his debut for L.A Galaxy in their 1-1 stalemate against Inter Miami in the Major League Soccer on Monday morning.
The 26-year-old sealed a move to Galaxy from Genk last week and he was quickly thrown into the starting line up as his side played their first home game of the season.
Paintsil won a penalty for Galaxy by the 11th minute after he was brought down by Sergio Busquets. However, Riqui Puig missed the resulting kick.
Paintsil came close to opening the scoring again on 24th minute but his shot was saved by goalkeeper Drake Calender.
Galaxy finally found a breach after the break to open the scoring when Paintsil’s pass found Marky Delgado who also squared it off for Dejan Joveljic.
Deep in additional time, Lionel Messi combined with Joldi Alba as the reigning Balon D’or winner scored a late equaliser.
