Caf rejects Nana Agyemang Badu Park for Caf Confederation Cup group stage

The continent’s football governing body has asked the Ghanaian champions to find a new venue ahead of the Confederation Cup group stage

By: Evans Gyamera-Antwi

Confederation of African Football (CAF) has rejected Aduana Stars’ submission to use Nana Agyemang Badu Park in Dormaa Ahenkro for their home games in the group stage of the Caf Confederation Cup group stage, AshesGyamera understands.

The Fire Club after defeating Fosa Juniors from Madagascar to make it to the group stage, were handed group A of the competition which has Asec Mimosa from Cote d’Ivoire, Raja Casablanca of Algeria and Congolese side AS Vita but their venue lacks electronic scoreboard, adequate media center and floodlights as well as other factors which will aid live telecast since all games will be beamed on TV.

Aduana will travel to Abidjan for the first game against Asec on May 6 before they host Raja on May 16 at a new venue which will be communicated later as they are the only club to have their home ground rejected.

According to AshesGyamera’s sources, Aduana will either choose the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, Len Clay Sports Stadium in Obuasi or Cape Coast Sports Stadium.

Chelsea decided to sell Mo Salah not me, says Mourinho

The Red Devils manager has hits out on critics who claim he decided to sell the Egyptian to the Serie A club in 2016

Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho has revealed that it was never his decision to sell Egyptian international Mohamed Salah to Roma in 2016.

The Portuguese manager has been blamed for Chelsea losing such an important player especially after the 25-year-old has been in a blistering form this season with Liverpool, after scoring 41 goals so far in all competitions.

“People say that I was the one that sold Salah and it is the opposite. I bought Salah. I was the one that told Chelsea to buy Salah. It was with me in charge that Salah came to Chelsea. But he came as a young kid, physically he was not ready, mentally he was not ready, socially and culturally he was lost and everything was tough for him,” Mourinho told ESPN.

“We decided to put him on loan and he asked for that as well. He wanted to play more minutes, to mature, he wanted to go and we sent him on loan to Fiorentina, and at Fiorentina he started to mature.

‘Chelsea decided to sell him, OK? And when they say that I was the one that sold him it is a lie. I bought him. I agreed to send him on loan, I thought it was necessary, I thought that Chelsea had wingers. Some of them are still there like Willian, Eden Hazard and all those players already in a different level.

“Effectively I did buy Salah, I didn’t sell Salah, but it doesn’t matter. What matters is that he is a fantastic player, and I am really happy for everything that is happening for him and especially because he scores against everyone and he didn’t score against us in two games,” he added.

Salah joined Liverpool in 2017 for a club-record fee of £36.5m. He has however been linked with a move to Real Madrid

Kwesi Nyantakyi must contest in 2019 GFA elections, says Caf president Ahmad

The African football chief wants his deputy to rescind his decision not to contest for the general elections next year

Caf president Ahmad Ahmad believes it will be wrong for Ghana Football Association president Kwesi Nyantakyi not to contest in the 2019 FA general elections in a bid to seek another tenure in office.

Nyantakyi on countless occasions revealed that he won’t be in office again when his current term elapses, leading to his former vice president George Afriyie declaring his intentions to succeed him.

However, Nyantakyi’s recent actions and decisions including the sacking of Afriyie as the vice-president because of his declaration and aspirations, have suggested otherwise.

“If the government and people ask him to continue, then why must he stop? The people need him, the stakeholders need him so why must he not contest again,” Ahmad told Starr FM.

“We are here to serve our nation and service to your country comes first and so I will advise him to seek re-election in 2019,” he added.

Ahmad who arrived in the country on Monday to receive an honorary doctorate degree from the University of Professional Studied Accra, will leave on Thursday morning to continue his role at Caf, including helping Morocco to win the 2026 Fifa World Cup bid as they come against United States, Canada and Mexico as co-hosts.

I’m an ambassador for vaginal tightening cream, Moesha Budong reveals

The young lady who seized the headlines few weeks ago following her revelation that she dates married men for a living has another interesting story to tell

Ghanaian social media celebrity Moesha Budong after revealing in an interview with CNN that she sleeps around with married men for her upkeep, has also insisted that Ghanaian women use vaginal tightening creams to make their private part very small and tight in order to enjoy sex with their partners.

According to Moesha, majority of women in Ghana think about how to satisfy their partners in bed at the expense of their own needs and hence, rely on creams to make their private parts very tight.

Amanpour: You are an actress…

Moesha: Yes. I am an actress, yes. And I’ve been signed for a stretch marks cream and a vaginal tightening gel.

Amanpour: Whaaaaaaaat!

Moesha: laughs. Vaginal tightening gel. It tightens the vagina. Yes. And people get it a lot. So many girls use it in Ghana…

Amapour: and why?

Moesha: More pleasure.

Amanpour: For who?

Moesha: For your Man.

Amanpour: How about you?

Moesha: in Ghana especially, we try to please the men first that’s why we use all these things to just make them enjoy the sex.

We please our men first before thinking about ourselves. You need to be a freak in the sheets…

Amanpour: you need to be a freak in the sheets <>

Moesha: To keep your man, yes. That’s why I’m dating a married man.

Moesha: I am their favourite mistress. I am dating a married man.

Amanpour: Really?

Moesha: Yes. And I’m in love with him.

Amanpour: are you?

Moesha: very.

Amanpour: uhhhhhhh…and is that normal?

Moesha: when a married man comes up to you, its very normal, married men come up to single girls and date them. They have mistresses and girlfriends.

Amanpour: so sorry….errr They have a wife, mistress and a girlfriend…?

Moesha: girlfriends….

Amanpour: you kidding me?

Moesha: that’s the Truth.

Amanpour: are you a mistress or a girlfriend?

Moesha: I’m a girlfriend but I’m sure I’ll get to mistress status.

Amanpour: so its wife, mistress, girlfriend and you are bottom of that pyramid…

Moesha: yes. Mistresses are like special girlfriends..they are like next to the girlfriends….

Amanpour: I thought the Ghanaian society looked down on women who have sex out of marriage…

Moesha: they do. It’s not a good thing but but its happening everywhere…I’m ambassador for vaginal tightening cream, Moesha Biding reveals

Mohamed Salah is the best player in the world currently, says Caf president Ahmad

7hammed Salahhed Salah,  SalahaerpoolerpoolThe African football chief insists the Liverpool star deserves to at least make an appearance in the final shortlisted

By: Evans Gyamera-Antwi

Caf president Ahmad Ahmad believes Egypt international and Liverpool superstar Mohammed Salah is currently the best player in the world.

Salah has been in a blistering form for club and country helping Egypt to qualify to the 2018 Fifa World Cup for the first time in 30 years.

Again, he has scored 41 goals in all competitions and has helped Liverpool to set up a semifinal clash against Roma in the Uefa Champions League.

“Myself, I think if Liverpool win the Uefa Champions League, he maybe in the [final] best three players in the world because the performance of his club and national team are all important for him to make the list,” Ahmad told AshesGyamera.com, after visiting the King of Asante Kingdom in Kumasi.

“Honestly, he’s the best now. Not even Messi [or Ronaldo] are the current best players in the world but Salah,” he added.

Ahmad also insisted that Salah’s performance in Europe has vindicated the technical team of Caf, following their decision to name him as the reigning best player on the continent.

“When Africans chose the best Player of the Year, Salah was the best so it’s an evidence that Caf did a very good job,” he said.

“People criticized us the technical team but they chose the best and I’m very happy for that and for the team that selected him.”

Salah has been voted as the 2018 PFA Player of the Year.

CAS throws out Techiman City’s appeal against Ghana FA

The Enemies are not God lads’ ambitions to play in the top-flight have been hit by a big blow as CAS throws out their appeal

l

Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) has thrown out an appeal by Techiman City’s counsel following a decision they lost against city rivals Eleven Wonders and Ghana FA last season,  AshesGyamera can confirm.

City, if they’d been adjudged winners, would’ve acquired six points to automatically give them the opportunity to play in the Ghana Premier League next season while Wonders get demoted.

“We received a decision from CAS this morning but unfortunately, we lost our appeal against the GFA,” a source from Techiman City told AshesGyamera.com

“We thank everyone for the support and will continue to play in the lower division with the hope of making a it to the top in the future,” the source added.

City failed to play two of their second-tier games this season and are also waiting for a ruling on it from Ghana FA in the subsequent weeks.

Dreams FC name Pasoja as new head coach

Dreams FC have officially announced Juha Pasoja as the new manager until the end of the season.

The 41-year-old former Finnish international has replaced Karim Zito who began the Ghana Premier League season with the club after he was named as the Ghana U17 coach.

“From day one, I’ve been excited to be here. We have a very good players especially young players since I like to work such people,” Pasoja said.

“So far it has been so interesting to participate in the training. I’ve watched two games and they’ve been very good games and results have been great.

“There’s a couple of experience players and young talented players which is good because like I said earlier, I like to work with young players and develop them to the next stage and send them to Europe. We’ll also try and achieve good results and maintain our place up on the log,” he added.

With Dreams chasing for the league title and sitting third on the log, Pasoja will likely be in the dugout on Monday when they face Aduana Stars in matchday nine of the league.

Fabin slams ‘shambolic’ Kotoko players after Dreams FC defeat

The Porcupine Warriors coach has lashed out on his players after they conceded a late goal on Sunday

By: Evans Gyamera-Antwi

Asante Kotoko coach Paa Kwesi Fabin has slammed his charges following their 1-0 defeat to Dreams FC in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday in Dawu.

The Porcupines were in dire need of the three points to go top on the log but a late goal from George Dwubeng was enough to win the day for the hosts and Kotoko have dropped four places down on the log.

“This was a match we should have won hands down but I don’t know what happened to my players. In the last minute, we conceded a very silly goal and lost and I’m very disappointed,’’ Fabin said.

‘’We were searching for a goal to win the game and then move to plan B but the players were not doing what I asked them to do. I asked them to keep pushing forward and utilise the little chance we will get but it got a point they got relaxed. I’m not happy with such things,’’ he added.

Kotoko will welcome Berekum Chelsea to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday and Fabin is optimistic of winning the game to ease the pressure.

“We will have the opportunity to make amends on Wednesday at home and I strongly believe we won’t disappoint again. We’ve not fared well away this season but at home, we are strong and it continue,” he said.

Heaven knows I tried my best, Patapaa replies VGMA board

The Agona Swedru superstar has hit back at the organisers of the awardsafter he stormed out of the auditorium

Hip-Life artiste Patapaa Amisty has suggested that he deserved to win the song of the Year award at the 2018 Ghana Music Awards night held on Saturday at the Accra International Conference Center.

The Swedru-based act saw his ‘One Corner’ song crossing boarders and becoming a global hit but he was surprisingly snubbed as he failed to win any of the categories nominated.

Brimming with confidence, Patapaa was spotted on the red carpet in a sea blue suit and promised that he will at least pick one award.

And prior to the announcement, many people believed Takin Over by Shatta Wale and the SM Militants was the only song very close to beat One Corner, however, Total Cheat was announced the eventual winner and the crowd booed that decision.

Patapaa furiously stormed out of the auditorium with his Patupa soldiers and head home very disappointed and disturbed.

According AshesGyamera.com’s sources, although the organisers of the awards admit Patapaa had the biggest of chances to clinch his first award in the VGMA, his fans didn’t vote for him massivel as expected unlike Fancy Gadam who won.

Last year, rapper Medikal suffered similar nightmares against the same Fancy Gadam, who won two awards on the night including Hip-Life Song of the Year in this edition.

2018 VGMA: Ebony crowned Artiste of the Year & other winners

Following an incredible year of music, the many artists have seen their hard work not going unnoticed while others are bitter but must gather the pieces and eye for better moments in the future

By: Evans Gyamera-Antwi

The 2018 Ghana Music Awards was successfully held on Saturday April 14 at the Accra International Conference Center and Ebony Reigns of blessed memories was adjudged as the best among the rest of musicians in the period under scrutiny.

The 20-year-old who net her untimely death in February saw her legacy living on even after her departure after she beat competition from Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Sarkodie and Joe Mettle.

The night saw great performances from ever-green Samini, Sarkodie, Kuame Eugene and the likes while Stonebwoy also didn’t disappoint only that his custom on stage was something that many onlookers weren’t impressed with.

However, the biggest shock of the night was when Patapaa’s One Corner and Shatta Wale’s Takin over were overlooked and Fancy Gaddam winning the most popular song of the Year with Total Cheat, something a section of Ghanaians feel it is indeed a ‘total cheat’.

Again, King Promise, Patapaa and others also were trending seriously with their outfit for the occasion.

In all, AshesGyamera.com had over 70 per cent of our predictions correct and hopes to improve the figure next year
