The Black Stars midfielder has completed his much anticipated switch to the Phobians on Thursday
Ghana Premier League champions Hearts of Oak have finally signed Great Olympics captain Gladson Awako, according to a report filed by Kumasi-based radio station Oyerepa FM.
The 30-year-old is believed to have put pen to paper in a two-year deal after the Phobians meet his personal terms.
Awako was very influential in Olympics’ campaign as the Wonder Club had a stellar performance despite returning from relegation.
With Hearts set to participate in Caf Champions League in September, head coach Samuel Boadu has added the Black Stars midfielder to his already established squad in order to be able to make a mark in the competition.
Awako, who scored six goals and provided seven assists for Olympics, initially offered himself to the Phobians and Asante Kotoko ahead of the start of last season but he was rejected.
Hearts will open their Caf inter-club campaign on the second weekend of September but are yet to know their opponents since Caf have not concluded the draw processes.
