The Porcupine Warriors won their first game at home thanks to Obed Owusu’s header

The 2017-18 Ghana Premier League season continued this weekend with games being honoured in eight centres across the country

On Saturday, Hearts of Oak were stunned 3-1 at home by Ashanti Gold at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium. Goals from Shafiu Mumuni, Amos Addai and James Akaminko did the job for C.K Akunnor.

In Kumasi, Asante Kotoko picked their first victory following Obed Owusu‘s second-half effort. The striker headed in a cross from Emmanuel Gyamfi to push the Porcupine Warriors to four points while Wafa also recovered from the spoils they shared last weekend to defeat Liberty Professionals 3-1 away, while Aduana Stars picked their fortnight point after drawing goalless with Elmina Sharks in Cape Coast.
