The Hasmal striker lived up to the expectations as she scored the all-important goal which saw Black Princesses through to the next stage of the qualifiers

Ghana defeated Zambia 1-0 in the second leg of the 2022 Fifa Women U-20 World Cup qualifiers at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on Saturday.

The Black Princesses shared the spoils goalless in the first leg played a fortnight ago at the Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka and only needed to win the return fixture to book their place in the next round of matches.

Hasaacas Ladies striker Evelyn Badu gave Ghana the lead by the 28th minute in the first half after connecting a pass from her teammate.

Although, Ghana had several other chances to double their lead in the game, the Zambia goalkeeper was in fine form to save the situation.

Ghana will now face Uganda who eliminated South Africa in the next round of the qualifiers next year.

The 2022 edition of the World Cup has been scheduled to take place in Costa Rica.
