The striker will spend the next two weeks in police custody after he was denied bail following his appearance in court
Former Hearts of Oak striker Gilbert Fiamenyo has been remanded in police custody for the next fourteen days by an Accra Circuit court, AshesGyamera.com can confirm.
The 30-year-old was reported to have attacked a police officer who was on duty after watching Ghana Premier League game between Hearts of Oak and Aduana Stars on Sunday.
Fiamenyo was later arrested by the police after the news about his attack went viral at the stadium.
At the Adjabeng District Court on Monday morning, Fiamenyo was charged with assault on security officer and although he defended himself, the judge insisted that he should be remanded and reappear in court two weeks time.
Fiamenyo, who previously had stints with Kenyan giants AFC Leopards, is currently a free agent after he parted ways with Lebanese side Al Nasr.
