Fatawu Mohammed extends Hearts of Oak stay until 2020

The Phobians defender has penned down a two-year contract extension deal following the expiration of his contract

Hearts of Oak defender Fatawu Mohammed has agreed to a two-year contract extension after his previous contract expired a couple of months ago.

The 25-year-old initially rejected a ¢25,000 offer from Hearts and was very close to join Zambian giants Nkana FC but he chose to stay and help the Phobians ahead of the new season.

Hearts, who earlier announced the signing of Christopher Bonney from Ebusua Dwarfs, in building a formidable team in order to win their first league trophy since 2009.

Hearts have lost the services of captain Thomas Abbey, Vincent Atinga and Kwame Kizito, AshesGyamera understands that five more players including Benjamin Kotey Afutu, Theophilus Jackson, Francis Morton, Nasiri Zakari, and Reginald Thompson, will be confirmed within the week.
