Eleven Wonders player and Team Manager remanded two weeks in prison after BEATING referee during league match

The Wonders defender and technical team member appeared in an Accra court on Monday and have been remanded for two weeks after allegedly assaulting a referee in a league game

Techiman Eleven Wonders defender Amin Adams and teamml manager Ernest Amo have been remanded in police custody for two weeks after appearing in court on Monday.

The duo were arrested on Saturday after their club suffered a 1-0 defeat against Accra Lions in Ghana Premier League matchday six. They allegedly charged on assistant referee Jasper Adenyo and physically assaulted him in the process.

Although, they pleaded not guilty to charges levelled against them, the judge who sat on the case threw them to remand and will reappear in court two weeks time.

Superintendent Freeman Kumashie from the Greater Accra Police Command who led the security officers on Saturday arrested them and they spent two days in police cells before they were sent to court on Monday.

Ghana Football Association is yet to release an official statement in the incident.
