Ghana Division One League is gradually coming to an end. Nsoatreman FC and Liberty Professionals as well as Samatex look teams to win qualification to Ghana Premier League next season.

In Zone 1, Nsoatreman have taken a three-point lead over Tamale City but the latter have a game at hand against Bofoakwa Tano on Thursday to close in.

Currently, Nsoatreman lead the pack with 59 points with only four games remaining to end the season. In the relegation battle, Mighty Royals have moved away from the drop zone for the first time in almost two months following a 1-0 away win over Berekum Arsenal.

With Kintampo FC sharing the spoils 1-1 against Nkoranza Warriors, the former have now moved into the drop zone. Meanwhile, Unity FC must defeat Bolga All Stars on Thursday to farther move away from the relegation-threatened clubs.

In Zone Three, Liberty Professionals shocked Tema Youth at the Tema Sports Stadium by pipping them 2-1 in front of their vociferous home supporters.

Liberty, after a slow start to the campaign, have now taken a three-point lead as they currently lead the log with 55 points and may keep it as a huge advantage. The Scientific Soccer Lads were relegated from the Top-flight last season.

However, ther is still chance for third-place Heart of Lions to move to closer to second placed Tema Youth when they play as visitors to Accra City Stars. A win for Lions would means that they are only one point behind Tema Youth and four points behind leaders Liberty Professionals.

In the relegation battle, Nania FC defeated Kwaebibirim 1-0 at home and they are now one point below safety.

Following the demotion of Inter Allies due to their match fixing scandal with Ashanti Gold during last season, it is likely only two clubs will be relegated from the zone.

Samatex are just three wins away from being crowned as Zone Two champions despite sharing the spoils goalless at home against Achiken. The Sameraboi-based team lead the log with 58 points, seven points above Ebusua Dwarfs who pipped Holy Stars 1-0 at home.

In the relegation battle, Wassaman United defeated New Edubiase United 3-2 to pill pressure on Hasaacas who could pick only one point away against Pacific Heroes. The Giants of the West are just one point away from the relegation zone.
