Ashanti Gold 0-1 Berekum Chelsea: Owusu’s goal ends Miners unbeaten run

The Blues have made it three wins out of three in away games as they stunned the Miners in front of their vociferous supporters

Ashanti Gold saw their impressive start to the season brought to a halt after losing 1-0 at home to Berekum Chelsea at the Len Clay Sports Stadium in Obuasi on Saturday.

A howler from goalkeeper Frank Boateng gave former goal King Kofi Owusu the opportunity to score his second goal of the season since he also scored the only goal last weekend when Chelsea pipped Asante Kotoko at home.

The victory against Ashanti Gold means that Chelsea have now won all their three away games and are yet to also concede a goal in five games.

They currently lead the log with 13 points, three points above Medeama who travel to Dawu to face Dreams FC on Sunday.
