The Porcupine Warriors will take on the Academy Boys during the Christmas festivities without their skipper after he was suspended due to accumulated yellow cards

Asante Kotoko will host WAFA on matchday ten of Ghana Premier League at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium without captain Abdul Ganiu Ismail.

The 25-year-old picked up a yellow card in the game against Legon Cities at Dawu and that has ruled him out of the fixture in Kumasi since he now has three yellow cards to his name.

This means that Prosper Ogum Narteh will now have to rely on Andrew Appau, Yussif Mubarik and Maxwell Agyemang for the game against WAFA.

Meanwhile, midfielder Richard Boadu ‘Agadas’ will be welcomed back after missing the game against Legon Cities through suspension. The box-to-box midfielder will likely pair with Mudasiru Salifu and Richmond Lamptey in midfield.

However, Ganiu will be eligible for the FA Cup Round of 64 fixture against King Faisal on December 28 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
